Artist Kevin Miller’s three-scene mural of Ulysses S. Grant adorns a streetwall of 120 South Main Street in Georgetown, Ohio, the town of both Miller’s and Grant’s upbringing.
Dedicated on President’s Day, February 21, 2022, by the U.S. Grant Homestead Association, the mural features, from left to right, a rendering of the iconic photo of Lieutenant General Grant at his Cold Harbor, Virginia, field headquarters in 1864; a scene of Grant riding a horse past the courthouse of Brown County, Ohio; and a portrait of Grant as 18th president of the United States of America, reminiscent of the late-1860s photographs of President Grant taken by Matthew Brady in Washington, D.C.
